Ogun State New Nigeria Peoples Party,NNPP have advised all the citizen of this country to join hands to work together for the future of our Nation.
In a press release sent by Comrade Omokehinde Olowu, the state publicity secretary of the party on behalf of their members, for the celebration of 25th years anniversary of Democracy Day in Nigeria.
The Democracy Day is being celebrated in memory of the historic June 12, 1993 presidential election won by the late Chief Moshood Abiola on the platform of the defunct Social Democratic Party (SDP). The poll was annulled by former military President Ibrahim Babangida, who stepped aside in August of that year.
Olowu also said that although we are facing difficulties nowadays but we should have faith in God that all this challenges will be overcome.
He then urged the Nigeria Labour Congress to continue in their struggle over minimum wage and not to be sell out for their members .
"As we march ahead on the journey, let us respect our diversity and use it to produce the harmony that makes democracy the best form of government yet invented by man.
Let us use the democratic mechanisms available to us such as the periodic review of the constitution to pursue the Nigeria of our dreams'.
Olowu now urged all Nigerian to remain steadfast in our commitment to democracy.
