Former Ogun Governor, Sen. Ibikunle Amosun, Minister of Culture, Hannatu Musawa, Nollywood Actor Hafiz Oyetoro To Grace Honourable Soaga’s Book Launch, Awards In Abeokuta





Former Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, the Honourable Minister of Culture, Arts and Creative Economy, Hadjia Hannatu Musawa, popular  Nollywood actor, Hafiz Oyetoro and a host of other Nollywood celebrities are billed to converge on Abeokuta on August 30, 2024 as celebrated TV host and Nollywood Director, Honourable Kehinde Soaga floats a book launch and awards tagged "MY NOLLYWOOD EXPERIENCE".

We  recalls that the author and organizer of the upcoming twin event, Honourable Kehinde Soaga, a member of the Director's Guild of Nigeria, has co-hosted  the popular "How Una Day" TV show with Hafiz Oyetoro on OGTV for more than a decade. He also co-hosted the "Lagos Na Wah" TV Show on LTV 8,Lagos, alongside Hafiz Oyetoro and Olufemi Orunsola, CEO, Open Television Naija.

In a statement made available to us , Honourable Soaga made it known that he has thought it prudent to document his decades of experiences as a Nollywood Director for posterity and to contribute to knowledge of dynamics of the industry.

Soaga further made it known that the twin event, being a book launch and awards, is scheduled to take place on Friday, August 30, 2024, at Simeon Adebo Library Complex, situated opposite Alaba Lawson School, in the heart of Kuto, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The Nollywood Director also revealed that the red carpet of the event will officially kick off by 12 noon 

According to him, attendees can expect a grand and unforgettable celebration, as a host of dignitaries, celebrities from Nollywood, and notable figures from various sectors are expected to grace the occasion where the Honourable Minister of Culture, Arts and Creative Economy, Hadjia Hannatu Musawa is the Special Guest of Honour, while former Ogun state Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun is the Chief Launcher.

"The day's activities will be expertly anchored by the duo of Alhaji Hafiz Oyetoro, also known as Simply Saka, and Adejoke Somoye, affectionately referred to as Ewa Ede, as both will serve as the Masters of Ceremony, guiding the audience through what promises to be a lively and engaging programme.", Soaga revealed.

The statement further states that the Royal Father of the Day is the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egba Land, HRM Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo while the role of Mother of the Day will be filled by the highly esteemed Matron of Celestial Church of Christ, Jesuko Parish Lagos, Mrs. Idowu Oyeku.

Meanwhile we gathered that the book, "My Nollywood Experience", will be critically reviewed by an esteemed Associate Professor at the Lagos State University of Education (LASUED), Dr. Femi Adedina 

His insights and expertise are sure to enrich the occasion, offering a profound analysis of the work that chronicles Honourable Soaga's extensive journey and contributions to Nollywood.

Given this impressive lineup of esteemed guests, respected scholars, and notable cultural figures, Honourable Soaga is optimistic that the upcoming event where some distinguished personalities will be given awards of recognition by K-Show Multimedia Group, will not only be a memorable one but will also stand as a significant milestone in the Nollywood industry and the broader creative arts community in Nigeria
