Ogun Progressive Youths felicitate Abiodun over APC victory in Edo election...Urges him to brace for Ondo

A socio-political group known as Ogun Progressive Youths has congratulated the Governor of Ogun State and Chairman of the Southern Governors' Forum, Prince Dapo Abiodun, on the just concluded governorship election in Edo State.

In a statement issued on Sunday in Abeokuta and jointly signed by the Coordinator and Secretary of Ogun Progressive Youths, Alhaji Rasheed Sanusi and Stephen Opeyemi Thomas respectively, the group said, "While we rejoice with the leaders and members of our party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the national level and in Edo State on the success of the just concluded governorship election and the clear victory of our party at the poll, special commendation and congratulations must also go to His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, for providing the needed leadership as Chairman of the Southern Governors' Forum (SGF).

The statement reads further: “He has shown that he is not just a democrat and leader but also a true party man," the group said.
It urged him to also provide the needed leadership that will deliver Ondo State for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming off-season governorship election.

"If the morning tells the day, then we make bold to say the success recorded in Edo State, which came after your assumption of office as Chairman of Southern Governors Forum (SGF), is a good harbinger of positive things to come.

"We have also noted the passing of the South West  Development Commission Bill by the Senate and urge you to do everything you can to ensure its smooth take-off  and for immediate benefits of the South West region, once assented to by Mr. President," the group added.
